At the start, the business only had an Instagram page and a Google Maps listing. There was no website, no experience in website management, and a complete lack of text content.Objective: From an Instagram account to a full-scale digital business
When the salon owner approached us, they had three clear motivations:
- Attract a new audience within the region that couldn't be reached via social media
- Elevate the brand image of the establishment
- Automate the booking process
The situation was complicated by the fact that the client had absolutely no time to prepare texts or technical specifications. We agreed to take everything upon ourselves: from an in-depth study of the specific beauty services market to writing every single line of copy and selecting/creating website illustrations.

Web Development & Content Strategy
We began by analyzing the local market in Nice. It became clear: for the site to be more than just a digital business card and actually generate revenue, we needed to build the structure based on the principle: 1 service = 1 landing page = 1 target keyword.
For maximum reach and convenience for potential clients, we applied a clever tactic by dividing all services into three categories: Women, Men, and Children.
This not only simplified on-site navigation but also allowed us to create several relevant pages for the same service, making the keyword targeting even more precise, which potentially boosts conversion rates.
We chose WordPress as the technological core for its flexibility and accessibility for administrators with no prior technical experience.
Special attention was paid to the mobile version: our audience is young and active, searching for services on the go, so the site had to be lightning-fast on any smartphone.
We chose the .com domain zone, as it inspires the most trust among European (and international) users.
Visual Content
We suggested a professional photoshoot of the team, the interior, and the exterior of the salon, as well as filming an atmospheric video for the Hero section of the homepage.
Why is this necessary? - So that from the very first second of visiting the site, the client feels a sense of openness and trust. While competitors use stock photos, we showcased real stylists and the actual process. Furthermore, we performed SEO image optimization. Now, when people search on Google for Afro braiding examples, they see Mawu Beauty's work and click through to the website.
Technical Features for Business
A crucial detail for a service-based website is an integrated booking form. This was one of the client's primary requirements, and we satisfied it by integrating a booking system widget on every service page, as well as placing rates and one-click booking on a dedicated page!
